Meet...John Gieras
Meet John Gieras! John has spent over 20 years making homebuyers' dreams come true. He truly enjoys making a difference in the lives of his clients, many of who refer multiple family members after closing the first loan. From a first-time home buyer to empty nesters downsizing and everyone in between, John provides care and empathy and knows how to provide the best customer service in the industry. He has built a loyal following and can work with clients in Missouri, Kansas, Florida, and Texas... John's advice if you want a mortgage is to plan ahead.
John has been married to his wife, Angela, for 25 years and has one daughter who attends college in Scotland. Additionally, he owns a tuxedo cat named Sweetie Pie, who he is dearly fond of. When John isn’t working, he enjoys being an amateur DJ spinning tunes for backyard gatherings where he entertains using his talents of smoking meats and making homemade pizzas in his pizza oven. John decompresses by playing tennis, sprucing up his yard, and being a comedian to his audience of family and friends.

Meet Jim
Having been raised in Central Ohio, I graduated from Ohio State University with an Industrial and Systems Engineering degree. I began my career with Anheuser Busch in St. Louis, MO. My work relocation moved me to the Heartland of America, and I have lived in the Kansas City area for 36 years.
My early work experience was building systems for better process flow, which matches my team’s vision at First State Bank to offer “wow” service.
My team and I have the vision & systems in place to give the utmost customer service and ensure our bank guests have the best experience when purchasing a home. Add to the vision that we offer competitive rates and loan programs to meet almost everyone’s specific needs and continue to serve you after closing.
My goal and my team’s goal is to help each borrower transition from accepting their real estate contract to closing their home loan. We communicate throughout the process to all parties associated with the loan so that the process is a great experience and the stress is minimized.
My education and expertise are perfect for analyzing a borrower’s financial goal for their loan. My experience in the mortgage industry has allowed me to understand the vast loan options, loan guidelines, and exceptions available in the guidelines, allowing me to determine the best loan options available for my customers.
Formerly a licensed Kansas Real Estate Broker, I am a certified Continuing Education Instructor teaching financing and other continuing education programs to Realtors.
My wife, Gail, and I have four boys: Zach, daughter-in-law Megan; Travis, daughter-in-law Victoria; Brett, daughter-in-law Angie; granddaughter Lili; grandson Henry; and Adam. We also have our four-legged ‘daughters’, Bella and Neely.
